Jameis Winston Mic’d Up In His First Giants Start Was 10x More Entertaining Than The Game Itself

Things did not go as perfectly for Jameis Winston in his first start at quarterback for the New York Giants as the veteran QB would have hoped. But that does not mean that it wasn’t entertaining.

Anything Jameis Winston does is wildly entertaining. This is a fact. And we have the receipts: Jameis was mic’d up in his first start and the Giants just released the video.

I mentioned this in Tuedsay’s Week 11 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings here on BroBible, but I really was rooting for Jameis Winston to succeed in his first start for the Giants. Not because I’m a Giants fan, I’m actually a Bucs fan, but because I’m a Jameis Winston fan and like him I’m an FSU graduate.

Jameis made his Giants debut against the Packers and it was just a 1-score loss at home, but his stats were not stellar. He was 19/29 passing for 201 yards, 0 touchdowns, 1 interception (which is largely random), and 1 lost fumble accounting for 2 turnovers from the veteran. Winston did have a rushing TD but the Giants ultimately fell 27-20 to Green Bay.

While that was going on, Jameis Winston was wearing a microphone provided by the league. The Giants shared a video of Jameis being Jameis today so we could peer into what his life is like on the field. (Can also be seen HERE on YouTube shorts)

Why on God’s green earth does this man not have a 24/7/365 reality TV show? I would love for someone to explain that to me. Because every football fan would absolutely tune in to watch JW go through everyday life.

As for what the future holds, that remains to be seen. Giants’ QB1 Jaxson Dart returned to practice and is ‘trending towards playing’ which would put Jameis Winston back in the role of QB2/backup. Dart can learn invaluable lessons from him on the bench but it sure would’ve been fun to see Jameis suit up again as starter in Week 12.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to be walking around yelling ‘TRENCHES’ like Jameis aka like Kendrick yells ‘Mustard.’
