It may not have been the most competitive game of the day, but the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 34-12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals was certainly eventful. Just ask Ja’Mar Chase and Jalen Ramsey, the latter of whom was ejected from the game for throwing a punch at Chase.
Though, Ramsey claims he had a very good reason for attacking Chase. According to the All-Pro cornerback, Chase spit on Ramsey, which prompted the aggressive response in retaliation.
Ramsey isn’t lying. Here’s the video.
Footage that indicates Jalen Ramsey wasn’t lying. Looks like a spit from Ja’Marr Chase. https://t.co/5x7sYZLY87

Though, the refs didn’t get a chance to see it, so Chase avoided punishment of any kind.
Yet, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Chase is likely to receive a one-game suspension for his actions. This would be similar to the punishment Jalen Carter received for spitting in Week 1, though his happened on the first play of the game, and his penalty was already served by being booted from the contest.
Officially, the NFL plans to investigate the Chase-Ramsey incident, but all indications point to Chase receiving a one-game suspension. After the Bengals fell to 3-7, it may not matter if they’re without Chase for a game.
