Behind the Steel Curtain Behind the Steel Curtain

Even at 30 years old, Ramsey continues to show why he is one of the best corners of the generation.

Newly-acquired defensive back Jalen Ramsey has plenty of expectations for his first year in Pittsburgh. The three-time All-Pro, known for his physicality and trash talk on the field, has established himself as one of the premier corners of his generation. Now, he finds himself ranked 66th by his fellow players in the NFL Top 100.

For Ramsey, it is his eighth consecutive appearance on the list. Ramsey was ranked number 25 on the list last year. Despite playing well enough to make the list again, Ramsey and the Miami Dolphins mutually agreed to seek a trade partner after the 2024 season.

The Steelers certainly have a player with a lot left in the tank. Ramsey, who turns 31 in late October, still holds the respect of his peers, even as he enters the latter stages of his career. He brings winning experience to a team that is looking for its first playoff win in nearly a decade, as he was a member of the Rams during their Super Bowl LVI victory.

Ramsey is the third player on the Steelers defense to grace the NFL Top 100 list this year. He joins fellow defenders Cameron Heyward and Patrick Queen, who were ranked number 83 and 75, respectively.
