The Pittsburgh Steelers continued to roll and handily beat the Cleveland Browns 23-9 on Sunday. It was a dominant defensive performance from Pittsburgh as they kept Cleveland out of the end zone entirely. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey made several impact plays that helped the Steelers earn their third straight win.
“I’m going to probably tell my kids about this,” Ramsey said following the game. “I played in a game with T.J. Watt and Myles Garrett and I had two sacks. That’s crazy.”
The Steelers’ defense was able to sack Dillon Gabriel six times on Sunday, and it was Ramsey’s first career game with multiple sacks. Ramsey was not the only Steelers defender to record multiple sacks against Cleveland, as Nick Herbig continued his breakout season with another dominant performance.
Interestingly, this was the first time all season that the Steelers had all their projected preseason starters on the field together defensively. Ramsey was banged up coming into the game, but still made a major impact despite being limited in practice during the week. Ramsey has been nothing short of a phenomenal impact player for Pittsburgh after coming over in the trade from Miami.
The Steelers sit comfortably at 4-1 and at the top of the AFC North. Ramsey and the Steelers will have another divisional game this coming Thursday against Joe Flacco and the Cincinnati Bengals.
