Jalen Milroe is a quarterback. He does not intend to switch positions in the NFL.
However, that decision may not be up to him…
Milroe, 22, played all four years of college football at Alabama. The former four-star recruit in the Class of 2021 flipped his commitment from Texas shortly after the Longhorns landed Quinn Ewers and served as the backup to Bryce Young during his freshman and sophomore seasons. He finally earned the starting job as a junior in 2023 and returned as the incumbent starter for Kalen DeBoer in 2024.
Although Milroe went 21-6 in 27 starts for the Crimson Tide, his career was under constant scrutiny. His athleticism cannot be denied and the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is built like a boulder. Both of those things combined are perhaps his biggest draw. He will sprint past you or run you over.
The problem with Jalen Milroe is his talent (or lack thereof) as a passer. He completed less than 65% of his passes as a senior with a career-high 11 interceptions. Accuracy is a big problem. As are mechanics.
