Jalen Hurts is living the high life right now. The Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl MVP is as in-demand as any star in sports right now for appearances as he basks in the post-Super Bowl glow.
Last week, his Philadelphia Eagles teammates went to the White House, as is customary for a visit with President Donald J. Trump to celebrate their Super Bowl win. Hurts skipped that visit to the White House, citing scheduling conflicts, but did indeed make it to the annual star-studded Met Gala on Monday night.
Jalen Hurts hasn’t really expressed his political views explicitly, though he has expressed some admiration in the past towards former President Barack Obama after playing golf with him and Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie
That being said, many think his decision to not attend the White House visit, with players like DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown also backing out due to what the White House referred to as “scheduling conflicts”. One would think that he could’ve cleared his schedule for a White House visit if he really wanted to go.
Just a week later, he cleared his schedule for the annual Met Gala, a high-profile fundraise for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
That’s Hurts and his wife, Bry Burrows. Jalen Hurts announced their marriage back in late April.
