Nick Sirianni’s team kept its foot on the gas, and while it wasn’t pretty, it got the job done.
That’s why Jalen Hurts couldn’t care less about his underwhelming stats.
Following the narrow win over the Kansas City Chiefs, the Oklahoma product had an interesting choice of words:

That sums Jalen Hurts up in one phrase.
He’s never cared about his numbers, which objectively have rarely been impressive; it’s all about getting the job done.
That’s not to say that he can’t put up big numbers.
We’ve seen him do great things with his legs, and he’s a much better passer than some people give him credit for.
But if he has to be a game manager for his team to take care of business, he’ll do it in the blink of an eye.
Granted, Hurts isn’t a perfect quarterback by any means, and his inability to read coverage has held the team back at times.
Still, more often than not, he’s made the best decision, even if it’s not the sexy or the flashy call.
Fans have debated about him for years, and most refuse to include him in the list of the top-tier quarterbacks.
At the end of the day, however, no one remembers losers, and Jalen Hurts is a winner.
He may or may not be the main reason why that offense works, but until proven otherwise, he deserves as much credit for their success as the next guy.
