The Eagles’ QB is already training back home in Houston, but Saquon Barkley and a bunch of other teammates were still celebrating the Super Bowl win in Las Vegas.
This is the first full weekend that the Philadelphia Eagles had off since winning Super Bowl LIX, and there was definitely some need for rest after a grueling season and what seemed like a marathon of a parade down Broad Street last Friday.
And while guys like A.J. Brown and Saquon Barkley talked about taking a little time off, but being drawn to get back into work, quarterback Jalen Hurts already has them beat. Hurts was back at home working on his fundamentals with his brother out on the practice field.
After seeing Hurts make the media rounds as the Super Bowl MVP, it was clear that he was ready to get back to the main thing — football.
But, not everyone is ready to move on from being World Champions, with Saquon Barkley and many other Eagles teammates heading to Las Vegas for a party thrown by Wynn Casino.
Throughout the last four years, various Eagles players and coaches have been asked about Jalen Hurts’ leadership style, and it’s always been noted that he might not always have a lot to say, but he leads by example. So, it’s no surprise that he would be the first one back at work, while some of the other guys enjoy the (much deserved) celebrations for a little while longer.
