The Eagles handled the rumors and drama from earlier in the week with honesty and addressed everything head-on.

The Eagles went on a media blitz Wednesday in an effort to address and squash the notion that there’s an ongoing issue between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown. Ever since Brandon Graham fanned the flame on Monday, we’ve had a chance to hear from various people inside and outside the organization, but things should finally be put to rest after hearing from both the QB and receiver.

Jalen Hurts

When asked if he wanted to provide any clarity on the situation, the QB said, “We’re good.” Hurts went on to say that they’ve all spoken since Brandon Graham made his comments.

“I think in the end [Brandon Graham] knows he spoke out of place, and he knows that.”

Hurts said a lot of insightful things about how the focus right now is on the team, and doing whatever they need to do win. The offense looks a lot different now than it did heading into the bye week, but they still need to improve in the passing game and be more balanced.

“Sometimes things change as dynamics change, but for [A.J. Brown], he knows I have a lot of love for him, just like I got a lot of love for all these guys. The QB also addressed his succinct, “No,” when asked if they should still be finding a rhythm at this point in the season, saying that he’s been on Eagles teams that have been in a groove by this point so that’s his standard. But, he was self aware enough to know that each season is different — there are different teammates, different coaches, different systems — and it’s about continuing to get better in all areas of the game, including passing.

A.J. Brown

“BG was just being BG. He’s emotional. In that case, he just misspoke. Me and Jalen [Hurts] are good. So, it’s BG. Everybody loves BG, you know, he’s speaking from the heart. He’s just giving his perception on something from the outside.”

Brown went on to explain that it wasn’t just Graham who misinterpreted things, but everyone who heard his comments on the passing game struggles.

“They perceived what I said about passing, and felt like it was an attack on Jalen [Hurts] and I think that’s what he did. Me and Jalen’s relationship is personal.”

The WR emphasized again that he and the QB are good, and that none of this impacts what happens on the football field. Brown also further elaborated on his curt, “Passing,” remarks.

“When he asked the question about what the offense can do better, obviously it’s not running the ball, [Saquon Barkley is] about to win MVP, like...
