Jacksonville is favored by 2.5 points in the season opener against Carolina.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced their full 2025 schedule.
The first regular season game of the Liam Coen/James Gladstone era will be against the Carolina Panthers at EverBank Stadium on September 7.
Carolina's head coach is Dave Canales, who was the offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay before Coen held the same role. Though the Panthers are one of the Jaguars’ weaker on-paper opponents this year, Canales has miraculously revived the career of former No. 1 pick Bryce Young and has the offense humming with strong investments up front. It’s crazy to say this about a David Tepper-owned franchise, but low-key, the Panthers are the best-run team in the NFC South bar the Bucs. I don’t think this will be any kind of cakewalk.
Jacksonville is listed as a 2.5-point favorite for Week 1, per FanDuel Sportsbook. The total is set at 46.5 points.
