The Jaguars agreed to contract terms with the nine names listed above during the NFL’s “negotiation period.” Those deals can be signed and officialized at 4:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, March 12, when the new league year begins and free agency formally opens.
“We’re going to elevate the floor of the roster immediately,” general manager James Gladstone said at last month’s NFL Combine. He held his promise.
Jourdan Lewis, Patrick Mekari, and Robert Hainsey figure to be Week 1 starters for the Jaguars. Dyami Brown and Eric Murray will also see significant playing time. Nick Mullens and Chuma Edoga are notable upgrades at critical backup spots, and Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long could provide a huge boost in the run game.
