Jaguars fans — which game are you most looking forward to on the 2025 schedule?
Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers will be the first regular season game as a Jaguar for Travis Hunter, Liam Coen, and plenty of other offseason additions. It’s a brother rivalry game between Travis Etienne and Trevor Etienne, and a matchup of former Bucs offensive coordinators between Coen and Dave Canales.
Week 3 against the Houston Texans will be a chance for Jacksonville to exact revenge upon their division rival after Houston’s Azeez Al-Shaair concussed Trevor Lawrence on a late hit last season. It’s Coen’s offense against DeMeco Ryans’ defense, Brian Thomas against Derek Stingley, and the first AFC South matchup of the season.
Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs will be an opportunity for the Jaguars to show whether they can play with the big boys, on Monday Night Football to boot. Patrick Mahomes is 5-0 in his career against Jacksonville (including playoffs) with an average winning margin of 11 points; he completed 70.1% of passes for 304.4 yards per game in those contests.
Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams will be another measuring stick game for the Jaguars on primetime television. It’s a reunion game for Coen and James Gladstone (two former Rams) at London’s Wembley Stadium. Matthew Stafford has some frightening weapons in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams this season, so it could end up being a shootout across the pond.
