Jaguars fans — are you confident the team is headed in the right direction?
And what letter grade would you give Trevor Lawrence so far this season?
Please take our surveyLawrence led the Jaguars to a primetime victory over the Chiefs on Monday night. He completed 18 of 25 passes (72%) for 221 yards (8.1 YPA) with 1 touchdown and 1 interception, plus 10 carries for 54 yards and 2 scores.
It was easily his best performance of the season, and perhaps one of the best outings of his NFL career.
“You talk about competitive greatness, we talk about competitive greatness all the time,” coach Liam Coen said Monday. “Competitive greatness is being your best when your best is required and regardless of what has happened, either you’ve thrown for 400, you’ve thrown for 100, it doesn’t matter. Being your best, when your best is required, and in a two-minute drill to go win the game- he makes arguably two of his best throws of the game to BT [Brian Thomas Jr.] and Dyami [Brown] to put us in a position to go score, and obviously the funky play at the end, but he willed himself. He willed himself to get into the end zone. He did it all night using his legs, playing hard, playing tough, showing some fire. I think our players did feed off that and was really proud of the way he competed.”
All that said, Lawrence also had a second interception called back via penalty, a lost fumble on a goalline leap, and a throw when he was already past the line of scrimmage, to name a few unideal plays. His game-winning touchdown was the epitome of The Trevor Lawrence Experience.
Here’s where Lawrence ranks this season in a handful of quarterback stats.
