Brian Thomas Jr. is getting the attention he deserves.

On Thursday morning, the NFL announced that the Jaguars’ standout rookie will replace injured Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games. The league also announced Thomas Jr. as a finalist for the Associated Press 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

The LSU product was the best rookie receiver in team history. Thomas Jr., the 23rd overall pick of last year’s draft, finished the 2024 season with 87 receptions, 1,282 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns — all rookie franchise records.

According to Jaguars PR, “He is one of four rookies since 1970 to reach over 1,200 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. Thomas Jr. registered 60-plus receiving yards and a touchdown reception in eight games, tied with WR Randy Moss for the most games with over 60 receiving yards and a touchdown reception by a rookie in NFL history.”

“I definitely still got [further] levels I wanna get to,” Thomas Jr. said during locker room clearout after Week 18. “I wanna be the best. That comes with a lot, so I know I still got more to come.”

“I’m super proud of what I came out and did this season, but I mean, it doesn’t stop now. I’ve just got to keep going and keep pushing.”

Thomas Jr. joins long snapper Ross Matiscik and punter Logan Cooke as Jaguars named to the 2025 Pro Bowl. He joins Jimmy Smith (1997-2001), Keenan McCardell (1996), Allen Robinson (2015) and D.J. Chark (2019) as the only Pro Bowl receivers in team history.

He would be the first Jaguar to be named Offensive Rookie of the Year. The winner of that award will be announced at NFL Honors on Thursday, February 6 in New Orleans. The Pro Bowl will feature a Skills Show on Thursday, January 30 and a 7-on-7 Flag Game on Sunday, February 2.
