The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a fairly quiet offseason and are mostly running it back after winning the AFC South a year ago. On Wednesday, they locked up one of their best young pieces for the foreseeable future.
The Jags and breakout tight end Brenton Strange have agreed to a new three-year, $48 million contract extension with $25 million guaranteed, per NFL insider Mike Garafolo.
Strange emerged as one of the best young tight ends in football last season and was a critical part of the Jacksonville offense both as a pass-catcher and a run blocker. Now, Liam Coen and company have a quality starter at that spot for the future.
