The Liam Coen era in Jacksonville kicks off with a bang in this post-Super Bowl seven-round mock draft.

Now that Super Bowl 59 is behind us, the Jacksonville Jaguars 2025 offseason is officially underway. This feels like the perfect time for the first seven-round mock draft of the year.

Using Pro Football Network’s mock draft simulator, this mock considers the new coaching staff and pending front office for a fresh perspective on what fans could expect when the 2025 NFL Draft kicks off in a few months.

Round 1, Pick 5: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

It’s hard to overstate just how abysmal the Jacksonville Jaguars pass defense was in 2024. They were dead last in pass yards allowed per game and gave up an opposing passer rating of 103.4. For a reference point of how bad that is, Josh Allen finished 2024 with a 101.4 rating so it was as if the Jags were playing an elevated version of Josh Allen every week.

The Jags are desperate for playmakers in the secondary and Michigan’s Will Johnson would provide just that.

In three years with the Wolverines, Johnson pulled in 9 interceptions with three of them being pick-sixes. At 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Johnson has elite size and pairs that with a super aggressive style of play, which is the perfect contrast to what Tyson Campbell provides on the other side.

Jacksonville has tried to fix the secondary with free agency patchwork for the last few years and it just hasn’t worked out. Adding a young player with the star potential of Will Johnson would instantly elevate the worst position group on the team.

Round 1, Pick 24: Walter Nolen, DL, Ole Miss

The Jacksonville Jaguars have done quite a bit of business with the Minnesota Vikings over the last couple of years, so why not continue that relationship here?

In this simulation, the Jags traded picks 36, 104 and a 2026 fifth-rounder to move up 12 spots to nab Ole Miss standout defensive tackle, Walter Nolen.

A former Texas A&M transfer, Nolan landed with the Rebels in 2024 and had a career year. He tallied 6.5 sacks and had 14 tackles for loss on his way to being voted a consensus All-American. His explosiveness and power really stand out when watching him play and his lateral movement is absurd for a guy listed at 6-foot-3 and over 300 pounds.

Giving up this much draft capital would have to be for a player who could make an immediate impact for the Jaguars in 2025 and Nolen is that type of player.

Round 3, Pick 70: Miles Frazier, OL, LSU

After prioritizing the defense early, the Jaguars land their first new piece of the offense in round three with the selection of Miles Frazier out of LSU.

A three-year starter at right guard for the Tigers, Frazier has been a big riser in the draft...
