Experience

Aaron Glenn has been synonymous with the NFL for more than thirty years. A Texas native, the former defensive back who starred for Texas A&M became a first-round draft selection for the New York Jets in 1994. He would play for Gang Green for eight seasons before being drafted again, this time by the Houston Texans as a part of the 2022 Expansion Draft for the newly established franchise. In a playing career that spanned fifteen seasons, Glenn also suited up for the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints, as well as one single season with the Jags in 2007. Amassing 639 tackles and 41 interceptions, Glenn earned Pro Bowl honors in 1997, 1998 and 2002.

Before heading into coaching, Glenn flirted with a front-office career, first becoming the General Manager of the Houston Stallions - an indoor football team - before spending two seasons as a personnel scout with the Jets. Eventually, though, the call of the sideline was too much, and Glenn got his first role as an assistant defensive backs coach with the Cleveland Browns in 2014. He earned a promotion two years later, hired by the New Orleans Saints to be their secondary coach, a role he held for five seasons.

It was in New Orleans where Glenn would meet Dan Campbell, who was Assistant Head Coach at the time. When Campbell won the Detroit Lions head coach job in 2021, he took Glenn with him to the Motor City to serve as his defensive coordinator. The pair have remained there since, helping transform the Lions into a Super Bowl contender.
