Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little made a would-be record-setting field goal during Saturday’s preseason tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In the second quarter of Saturday’s preseason opener, Cam Little booted a 70-yard field goal through the uprights. If this were a regular season game, it would easily break the record for the longest field goal in NFL history:

Former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker set the record for the longest field goal in NFL history during a 2021 game against the Detroit Lions, booting a game-winning 66-yarder on the final play.
Brandon Aubrey of the Dallas Cowboys made a 65-yarder last year, and former Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater previously held the record by making a 64-yarder in a 2013 contest. Seven kickers have made a 62-yard field goal.
Cam Little’s kick won’t go in the record books since it’s a preseason game, but at least the Jaguars know he has the power and ability to make one from 70-plus yards out. That could very well influence head coach Liam Coen’s decision-making going forward.
The 21-year-old Little was drafted in the sixth round (212th overall) by the Jaguars last year. He won the kicker competition and had a superb rookie year, making 93.1 percent of his kicks and all 27 extra point attempts.
