Well, the Green Bay Packers and their fans will have to be patient with newcomer Trevon Diggs if they hope for him to regain the All-Pro form he showed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2021.

Last week, the Cowboys waived Trevon Diggs in a surprise move. He was later claimed off waivers by the playoff-bound Packers, who will open the postseason against the archrival Chicago Bears.

Diggs made his Packers debut in Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Minnesota Vikings. On the second play from scrimmage, Diggs looked completely lost as Justin Jefferson picked up an 18-yard gain with the veteran corner in the area:

The very first play of the Vikings/Packers game. Trevon Diggs is picking up right where he left off in Dallas. Soft coverage, slow reaction, easy 20-yard completion. Good luck, cheeseheads. pic.twitter.com/18e4mIcGoB

According to Pro Football Focus, Diggs allowed one reception for two yards. So, be the judge and decide if Trevon Diggs was responsible for the Jefferson reception or not. PFF doesn’t think so.

The Packers rested key players, including quarterback Jordan Love and running back Josh Jacobs, with the No. 7 seed locked up. The NFL will announce the playoff schedule after the Baltimore Ravens-Pittsburgh Steelers game.

Green Bay is the only No. 7 seed in the current playoff format (since 2020) to win a playoff game, defeating the Cowboys in the 2023 Wild Card Round.
