If you watched Sunday Night Football:

Well isn’t that interesting! Sean McDermott spent all winter whining about the tush push, despite running it at the second-highest rate behind the Eagles in 2024. The vote to ban failed, keeping the play legal, and here he comes in Week 1, using it with Josh Allen.

So you have to think that the Bills aren’t concerned about the health and safety of their players, if they’re going to use a play they voted to ban. What other conclusion can be drawn from that? This would be like a politician saying they’re against insider trading while committing insider trading. Heyo!

McDermott’s own words:

“To me there has always been an injury risk with that play. And I’ve expressed that opinion for the last couple of years or so when it really started to come into play, the way it’s being used, especially a year ago. I just feel like player safety has to be at the top of our game, which it is. It’s just that play to me, or the techniques used with that play have always been potentially contrary to the health and safety of the players. You have to go back, in fairness, to the injury data on the play. But I just think the optics of it, I’m not in love with.”

McDermott needs to get it together. This is a Lansdale guy we’re talking about here. We don’t have hypocrites and whiners in Lansdale. The last NFL coach to disgrace the great borough was Joe Judge, and look at what happened to him. He’s doing “senior” analysis for Lane Kiffin!
