The Buffalo Bills hit the road for Week 10, headed to often-sunny South Beach for an AFC East divisional rematch with the Miami Dolphins. The Bills are back riding high, now 6-2 after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9. Buffalo’s relentless pass rush stymied and stressed quarterback Patrick Mahomes, in what may be the best overall defensive effort against Kansas City in head coach Sean McDermott’s tenure. On offense, quarterback Josh Allen and running back James Cook III put together near-perfect performances.
That win may have serious playoff implication later on, where the Chiefs essentially enter playoff mode after their bye. So for all those saying that Buffalo’s win last Sunday is meaningless in the grand scheme of things, that’s just not true if Kansas City ends up sidelined, and watching the playoffs from home. It’s fair to say that Bills Mafia and 30 other fan bases may be okay with that outcome.
Speaking of being sidelined, that’s essentially what happened to general manager Brandon Beane in his pursuit to finalize a deal at the 2025 NFL trade deadline. It’s the first time Beane hasn’t made a trade in-season since the 2021 campaign.
We’ve talked at length here on Buffalo Rumblings about One Bills Drive’s rumored interests and potential options to add either a boundary wide receiver, defensive lineman, or even a safety for the stretch run toward the playoffs. While that didn’t happen, Beane explained that it wasn’t for lack of trying.
Buffalo has shown a lot of improvement the last two games, but injuries continue to mount. Meanwhile, the team’s cornerback room got a major boost with rookie Maxwell Hairston making his mark in a big way against the Chiefs.
Now that the trade deadline has come and gone, how are you feeling about the Bills’ lack of moves at the 2025 NFL trade deadline — content, concerned, or indifferent? Plus, as we ask each week, are you confident in the current direction of the team? Vote now!
