What’s the deal with Jalen Ramsey?
Are the Miami Dolphins ever gong to trade the standout cornerback ... and if so are the Las Vegas Raiders really a possibility?
The Dolphins and Ramsey have been at odds and it has been expected for more than two moths (the split happened before the draft) that the two sides will separate, ending in the Dolphins trading Ramsey.
Nothing has improved in the relationship and a trade is still the anticipated outcome. ESPN recently reported that Ramsey would like to play on the West Coast, such as for teams like the Los Angeles Rams (where he’s already played and been traded from) or with the Los Angeles Chargers.
There has been been plenty of media speculation that the Raiders could be a logical fit for Ramsey. They are close to the West Coast, Ramsey fits what new Raiders coach Pete Carroll wants in his cornerbacks (he stands at 6-1 and weighs 209 and has 33,3/8 inch arms, so he has the size Carroll covets), the Raiders could use a veteran cornerback and the Raiders have the financial means to fit in Ramsey.
Yet, nothing has really happened.
Thus, it’s unclear if the Raiders truly have interest in Ramsey other than the media dot connecting. The truth is, who knows how and when this ends, but until Ramsey is traded to another team, the Ramsey watch continues for the Raiders.
