The game is expected to see 50-60 mph wind gusts with a 94% chance of rain. Both teams are sitting at 1-5 coming into this game, so it was already expected to be an ugly matchup. The weather certainly won’t help make things better. Games like this really support the argument for why Cleveland has decided to move to a domed stadium. The critics will say that the weather is just a part of the game. The unpredictability of the weather can make things exciting and give the sport some more character.
This game will almost certainly be a low-scoring game due to the elements, but if the game were being played in a dome, there might be a chance for some better offense. There are arguments to be made on both sides, but it cannot be denied that the product on the field is entirely different in these two different environments.
