Men were crashing out all over the internet following an announcement from Taylor Rooks that no one saw coming.
The reporter has plenty of male fans simply on account of her looks – Rooks’ looks are no joke – so they were naturally disappointed to learn that she had been taken off the market.
That’s right, Taylor is married. She revealed as much via Instagram on Wednesday, leaving everyone shocked as most fans assured she’d been single the whole time.
Rooks took to IG to post several photos from her wedding, which was a star-studded event, with the likes of Saquon Barkley, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, Donovan Mitchell, Lala Anthony, and Michael Rubin among the many big names in attendance.
The news did not go down well with NBA Twitter.
“Nothing could have prepared me to see what Taylor Rooks posted on IG,” a fan declared.
“…..i just saw Taylor Rooks IG post,” another shared, along with a video, which was brilliantly followed up in the comments.
“I just opened up IG and saw Taylor got married. Please respect my privacy at this time,” one user lamented.
“It’s Taylor Rooks. This isn’t a joking matter. Please respect mens privacy at this time,” someone else warned.
“Taylor Rooks’ last post,” a fan added.
Someone else had a simple message for her…
Rooks was a national treasure, which was in part because everyone felt like they had a shot, strangely, of course.
It’s going to be a big year for the 33-year-old. Having just announced her nuptials, she’s also set to be the lead studio host for NBA coverage on Amazon Prime.
Rooks announced her departure from Turner Sports earlier this year and will join a cast of several notable names on the network, including Dwyane Wade, Candace Parker, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Dell Curry, Stan Van Gundy, and Brent Barry.
We’re not sure where to go with this, but we’re leaning toward congratulations.
