Who did the Bears select in our interactive mock draft?
As we’ve done the last few years, we conducted an interactive top ten mock draft on Twitter/X. We give the fans a chance to vote pick-by-pick until we reach the Chicago Bears selection. It's worked out that the Bears have picked 9th or 10th in each of the last three seasons, so that certainly helps the exercise.
How did it play out? Here are the results.
No surprise here, the entire world seems to know that the Titans are going to take the top QB in the draft, if anything, it should be surprising that Ward only received 92% of the vote.
There’s been plenty of momentum building for this pick to be Travis Hunter over Carter, but the fans think that Carter will ultimately be the pick by Cleveland. Hunter is a special two-way player, but the fans believe the idea of Myles Garrett and Abdul Carter terrorizing opposing QBs as a tandem for the next few years.
The Giants desperately need a QB, but if you don’t believe in Shedeur Sanders, it’s just not going to be worth making a reach pick when Hunter is on the board. Hunter will be a fascinating player to see how a team implements him on the team. Will he be a full-time CB and play 50% of the WR snaps, or will he be a full-time WR and play periodically on defense? That will just depend on each team and how they see him, but a player that can help both sides of the ball certainly would be a benefit for the Giants.
It certainly feels like the Patriots need to go offensive line here. Their line is spotty, and they need to project Drake Maye. There are probably some safer prospects than Campbell here in terms of players that project to blue chippers, but Campbell is most likely the consensus top offensive lineman in the draft (some will say Membou), and he certainly should be able to step in and play week one.
Other than Ward, Graham to the Jaguars seems to be the most popular mocked pick. I don’t think it’s as certain as the mock drafts, but the fans agree with them, Graham is the pick here. Graham has the potential to be an impact defensive tackle, but the Jaguars also just got rid of a lot of skill position players on offense and have an offensive-minded coach and a QB they want to support. OL or skill position wouldn’t be a shock here.
Jeanty to the Raiders has been a popular pick here, which probably disappoints some of...
