The Philadelphia Eagles’ playoff hopes may be hanging on Jalen Hurts’ resilience as the quarterback battles injury ahead of the NFC Championship Game.
Hurts made a promising return to individual drills, offering a glimmer of hope to anxious fans after suffering a knee injury during the divisional-round win against the Los Angeles Rams.
“He seemed to be moving normal in the limited time the media was at practice,” Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94 WIP Sports Radio wrote on X accompanied by a video.

This development comes as a relief, especially considering Hurts’ visible mobility challenges during the previous game.
In that hard-fought victory, Hurts demonstrated remarkable grit. He completed 15 of 20 passes for 128 yards, avoided turnovers, and added 70 rushing yards with a touchdown.
However, the seven sacks he endured highlighted his limited mobility, likely stemming from an MCL strain.
To compound matters, he is also managing a broken finger on his non-throwing hand, an injury he claims is improving but not fully healed.
This ongoing battle with injuries is nothing new for Hurts.
Since becoming the Eagles’ starter in the 2020 season, he hasn’t managed to finish a campaign completely healthy, yet his ability to perform under pressure has been admirable.
With a Super Bowl berth on the line, there’s little doubt Hurts will take the field against the Washington Commanders.
However, the question remains: How will his injuries impact his game?
He’s already proven he is capable of guiding the Eagles deep into the playoffs while battling physical setbacks.
