Details on Adam “Pacman” Jones’s arrest over the weekend have surfaced following his latest brush with the law.

Initial reports from Saturday revealed that the former NFL cornerback was taken into custody for assaulting a police officer and engaging in disorderly behavior.

TMZ Sports has since obtained court documents that state that Jones intentionally threw an elbow into the officer’s face, bursting his lip.

“Adam “Pacman” Jones busted a cop’s lip after “intentionally” throwing an elbow at the officer’s face during his arrest Saturday … new court documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, state,” the outlet relayed on Monday.

The documents also note that the assault took place at the Kenton County Detention Center in Covington, Ky., around an hour after Jones was arrested for public drunkenness.

Jones is said to have sworn at officers outside of a bar in the wee hours of the morning while displaying several indicators of intoxication, including glossy eyes and slurred speech.

“Officers determined [Jones] to be a danger to himself and others in his current intoxicated state,” the police report reads, “[Jones] was causing annoyance and alarm to the pedestrians nearby.”

It adds that, after being taken to KCDC, the former football pro “intentionally threw his elbow upwards” striking an officer in the face, “causing the inside of [the cop’s] lip to bleed.”

He was then booked on public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault on a police officer.

A rep for Jones has released a statement following his arrest, claiming “Adam did nothing wrong other than exercise his right to ask why he was being detained — a fundamental question that every citizen should be allowed to ask without fear of retaliation.”

The rep states that people should not be arrested for simply asking questions, and lawmen should not be allowed to fabricate charges just because they don’t appreciate the tone of a conversation.

“This type of behavior erodes trust in law enforcement and undermines justice,” they claimed.

Jones was scheduled to appear in court this Monday morning, after being kept in custody over the weekend.
