Cameras caught Blue, the mascot of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, playfully fighting with a security guard during Sunday’s game between the Atlanta Braves and the Baltimore Orioles at Truist Park.
For those wondering why the mascot of a team in another league, from another city, would be at the Braves’ home game on Sunday. On the team broadcast, Braves play-by-play voice Brandon Gaudin said it was “Mascot Day” today.
The game broadcasts cut to the Indianapolis Colts’ mascot with Freddie Falcon, the mascot of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, on the concourse. Blue then got into a playful skirmish with a security guard, making easy work of him in their colorful little brawl.
Judging by the security guard’s reaction, you can tell it was all staged and part of the show:

The Orioles defeated the Braves 2-1 to complete the three-game sweep, as Atlanta’s nightmare season hit a new low. One of the pre-season favorites to win the World Series, Atlanta is now 39-50 and 8.5 games out of the final wild-card spot.
But at least the frustrated Braves fans in the area were treated to some entertainment by the Indianapolis Colts’ beloved mascot, of all people, at Truist Park.
The Indianapolis Colts, looking to end a five-year playoff drought, will kick off the 2025 season with a home clash against Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 7 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
