The Indianapolis Colts today released their Wednesday injury report for Week 4 of the NFL season ahead of their Sunday game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Defensive tackle Deforest Buckner missed practice today with a back injury. Buckner has been a constant along the defensive line for the Colts and a consistent defensive playmaker since joining the team. Buckner has never been one to miss game times even if he does miss practice time through injury he normally plays through it for the sake of the team. He will be one to watch closely this week.
Right guard Matt Goncalves missed practice today with a toe injury. Goncalves was spotted by the media today in a walking boot. Goncalves has been very solid starting at guard this year despite never playing it before at the NFL level. The worrying aspect of Goncalves’ injury is the poor depth behind him should he miss anytime through injury. Goncalves had another one to keep an eye on this week.
Cornerback Kenny Moore missed practice today due to an Achilles injury. Moore left the Titans game early with a suspected ankle injury which has later been diagnosed as an Achilles injury. The team are saying the injury isn’t serious enough to warrant an IR trip for Moore but he will likely be ruled out this week.
Wide Receiver Alec Pierce missed practice with a concussion today. Pierce left the Titans game early due to sustaining a head injury which was later diagnosed as a concussion. Pierce has now entered the leagues concussion protocol and will have to pass through several checks before he can return to practice again.
