After last Sunday’s two-score win over the Detroit Lions, it shouldn’t surprise us that Chiefs fans’ confidence in their favorite team is back to where it was before Week 5’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Before the season, Kansas City fans might have said that another running back was the team’s most pressing need. But with six weeks of the season behind us, a majority of fans think the Chiefs need another defensive tackle.
Given this week’s approval rating, seeing a big majority of fans think the team can win another AFC West title isn’t surprising. It says a lot, however, that the figure is this high when the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers still lead the Chiefs by a game in the division standings — and Los Angeles has a win over Kansas City.
Turning to polls taken by all NFL fans, more than a third now say Kansas City is the AFC’s best team.
Almost a majority of fans believe the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the best in the other conference.
Fans across the country think the Chiefs will defeat the Las Vegas Raiders, the Broncos will take down the New York Giants and the Indianapolis Colts will beat the Chargers.
