This is exactly what happened after the Chiefs lost their season-opening game against the Los Angeles Chargers: fan confidence fell by more than half.
It doesn’t seem like most fans think things are going to improve in the short term. Three-quarters of Kansas City’s fans think the team will still be within one game of 0.500 as it enters Week 10.
A narrow majority of the Chiefs’ fans think that general manager Brett Veach will make a trade before the November 4 deadline.
It’s understandable why fans across the country found Devner’s victory over Philadelphia as the most entertaining upset of Week 5. But it wasn’t quite as much fun for Kansas City fans to watch a division rival beat the Eagles.
You might have guessed that NFL fans would consider the most surprising upset to also be the most entertaining — but not this week.
It seems like NFL fans from across the country don’t have a lot of confidence in the Chiefs, either. They’re expecting the Chiefs to fall to the Lions this week — and for the rest of the AFC West’s teams to win.
