In July ‘Reacts’ poll, Chiefs fans are intrigued by right tackle battle

The most intriguing camp battle on offense

A slim majority of voters are most intrigued by the right tackle position among the training-camp battles to anticipate for the Chiefs’ offense. Head coach Andy Reid is careful with his words, so his usage of the word “competition” when asked about right tackle Jaylon Moore in an OTAs press conference is worth taking seriously.

While Chu Godrick and rookie tryout signing Kahlil Benson have also been mentioned as candidates for the role, it’s second-year tackle Esa Pole who has the most realistic shot at overtaking Moore on the depth chart. If those two are not differentiating themselves from Benson as starting-capable players, the team has an even bigger issue at that position than we realized.
