It’s never a good idea to look ahead of your opponent, but there’s no harm in thinking about what may happen on a hypothetical “Victory Monday.” In short, a Cowboys win against the Panthers will produce a ripple effect across the NFC East.

On Thursday, we saw the Philadelphia Eagles go from clear-cut division favorite to officially stumbling in the early part of this season.

They’ve dropped two games in a row and have yet to win a game by more than one score. The Commanders, Cowboys, and Giants have all had their fair share of struggles, but nobody is out of the race.

So, if Dallas can pull off a second straight road win to move above .500, it could force the front office’s hand to be more aggressive in player personnel and spark new storylines for the 2025 campaign.

Here, we’ll look at that possibility a bit closer. These are five dominoes that may fall with a Cowboys win over Carolina in Week 6.

  1. Hopping Back On The Trade Market

The NFL as a whole appears more aggressive in the trade market this season, and a victory in Charlotte this week may prompt Dallas to follow suit.

Between the rumors of a Maxx Crosby blockbuster and their overall need for roster improvement, it makes sense for the front office to start picking up the phone if wins keep rolling in. After all, they’ve got the draft capital to do it.

We could see linebackers like Devin Bush in Cleveland, or pass-rushers with a lower price tag than All-Pros like Crosby and Trey Henderickson.

Overall, this team, for all its flaws, still has the pieces to compete for the playoffs today. If Jerry Jones looks at Dak Prescott’s age and his own stockpile of draft picks, a move could be made very quickly.

  1. Hunting For New External Free Agents

On a less exciting player acquisition note, a Cowboys win could make them dip back into the free agency pool before their Week 7 battle with the Commanders.

This would be a low-cost, effective way to bolster the weaknesses in the roster without giving up draft capital that can still be used closer to the deadline. If Dallas isn’t sure about going “all-in” quite yet, this is the perfect way forward.

There are a few notable names out there who could quickly become contributors for the Cowboys.

Not to mention, they’ve got more than enough money to pursue anybody who doesn’t have a team heading into the middle of the season.

  1. Jaydon Blue’s Role Keeps On Growing

Moving to the on-field impacts of a win in North Carolina tomorrow, we have to talk about rookie running back Jaydon Blue.

The news came yesterday that Miles Sanders is now out for the season with injury, and that Blue is being elevated, likely for the remainder of the 2025...
