The New Orleans Saints are back home in the Caesars Superdome when they host the Carolina Panthers in Week 15. Here’s what either outcome could mean for the black and gold.

If the Saints win

A victory on Sunday completes the sweep of the Panthers for the season and moves New Orleans to 3-2 in divisional games in 2025.

The emergence of Tyler Shough in recent weeks has become the story of the season in the Crescent City. A win would likely require another strong showing from him and the offense after they came up huge in last week’s upset win over the Bucs.

A win would also continue the team’s slide in next year’s draft order, which some prioritize over the win column now that playoff contention is out of the picture. But finding a franchise quarterback, which Shough might be in the process of becoming, is above all else.

If the Saints lose

Losing in the Dome to Carolina would prove disappointing, if not for anything else, because they’re a division rival. But the flip side of the aforementioned draft pick discussion is that a loss helps the cause. That remains, as it has been in recent weeks, the main talking point in the wake of losses at this stage of the campaign.

As the Saints chase consecutive wins – against NFC South competition nonetheless – how are you feeling ahead of the game? Where do you stand regarding Shough in the long term amidst his current form at quarterback? Let us know in the comments!
