The New Orleans Saints close out the 2025 season with a visit to Atlanta. Here’s what either outcome would mean for the black and gold against the Falcons.
A fifth consecutive victory for New Orleans would further solidify the long-term foundations that have been laid down throughout this season.
What’s more, beating the Falcons is always high up on everyone’s agenda. Improving to 7-10 would affect the Saints’ position in the draft, but few will care if they enter the offseason with a franchise quarterback and head coach of the future, which most are convinced they will.
Defeat to the Falcons would be a sour ending to a largely encouraging season, but its impact would be minimal. The black and gold will carry a lot of momentum into the offseason regardless of Sunday’s outcome, and with a loss comes a better draft pick.
