The New Orleans Saints are paying a visit to division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon, and here’s a quick look at what either outcome could mean.

If the Saints win

A victory on Sunday would avenge the Bucs’ win over the Saints back in October, and would likely require another strong performance from Tyler Shough, which would move the rookie quarterback to 2-3 as a starter.

New Orleans played well enough in the second half to beat Miami last time out. They’ll need a full game at their best to beat an NFC South rival looking to secure a firmer grip on the division.

If the Saints lose

With the black and gold eliminated from playoff contention, a loss on Sunday would mark another step toward a top selection in the NFL Draft.

Divisional games are always marked on the calendar as matchups that fans most want to win; draft position, at this stage of the season, serves as a nice consolation when the Saints can’t get it done.
