The Philadelphia Eagles have a stellar wide receiver tandem.
Few NFL teams have a one-two punch of stars like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
However, the Eagles could’ve had one of the best individual pass catchers in the game.
Fans have repeatedly mocked them for passing on Justin Jefferson in the 2020 NFL Draft, up to the point where general manager Howie Roseman has finally admitted they made a mistake.
Yet, Roseman also said he has no regrets about how things worked out.
“I think there’s one who is pretty obvious, one guy we didn’t draft that’s going to the Hall of Fame. … The mistakes kill me. … It made me think ‘Why are we picking certain guys?’ … But if we don’t make mistakes like that, we probably don’t play in two Super Bowls in the last three years. … Don’t overthink things. … When you are staring at good players, just take them,” Roseman said on “Bussin’ With The Boys,” via Eagles Nation.

To be fair, if someone thought Jefferson would turn out to be the likely Hall of Famer he is, there’s no way he would’ve been available at No. 22 overall.
The Eagles needed a wide receiver and drafted Jalen Reagor at No. 21.
Then, after failing to make much of an impact, they traded Reagor to the Minnesota Vikings, ironically the team that drafted Jefferson, two years later.
Jefferson went on to become a superstar, but as Roseman said, it’s not like the Eagles needed him to get to where they are.
Every team makes mistakes during the NFL Draft, and while some are glaring and evident at the time, others aren’t that obvious.
It’s not like the Eagles were the only team that passed on Jefferson.
