The Kansas City Chiefs beating the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night would activate a pair of popular NFL conversations.

A victory for Andy Reid’s side at Caesars Superdome would signal a third straight Super Bowl triumph, something no team in the league has ever accomplished. It also would result in Patrick Mahomes hoisting the Lombardi Trophy for the fourth time, which might be enough for some to push the star quarterback over Tom Brady in the NFL’s “greatest of all time” debate.

But even though a Chiefs win in Super Bowl LIX could change the perception of the New England Patriots’ dynasty as well as Brady’s personal legacy, TB12 wouldn’t have a problem with Kansas City staying atop the football world.

“I will say if the Chiefs win, I will be very happy for them,” Brady recently said on his “Let’s Go!” podcast, as transcribed by MassLive. “I mean, what they’ve achieved is unmatched.

“And I think that’s cool because people always hated on us for so many years. And I didn’t understand it because all I did was like — we try to do things the right way, we try to go out there and compete for our job and win.”

Brady will have one of the best seats in the house as Mahomes and company try to make history. The seven-time Super Bowl champion will wrap up his first season as a broadcaster with his highly anticipated call of the Chiefs-Eagles clash on FOX.
