The Miami Dolphins return home this weekend, licking the wounds caused by a disappointing loss to the Carolina Panthers last week. What started as a party, with the team jumping out to a 17-0 lead, was quickly broken up by the Panthers, who used a 206-yard rushing performance from Rico Dowdle to erase Miami’s early advantage, then push past them for a 27-24 victory. The Dolphins dropped to a miserable 1-4 on the year and left the game with more questions than answers.
Now, they host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6 and they have to come up with those answers. Why does an offense built to use speed and create mismatches continue to stall drive after drive? Why does the defensive front seven, projected to be the strength of the team, get abused play after play and week after week? Why does the offensive line look lost? Why does quarterback Tua Tagovailoa look like he is regressing? If every team knows the trick to beating Miami is to clog the middle of the field, why do the Dolphins not make an adjustment?
So many questions, so few answers.
Miami needs to show they have the answers, and they have to show it starting today. We have everything you need to know for the Chargers at Dolphins game right here:
