The (6-7) Kansas City Chiefs are welcoming in the (9-4) Los Angeles Chargers to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium for an AFC West bout in Week 15. Kickoff is set for Sunday at 12 p.m. Arrowhead Time.
The Chiefs’ postseason chances are holding on by a fraying thread after losing 20-10 to the Houston Texans in Week 14 — and then watching Los Angeles squeak out a win in overtime on “Monday Night Football.” The only path to extending this season past Week 18 starts with a victory on Sunday.
The Chargers are looking to make the postseason for the second time in two seasons with head coach Jim Harbaugh. A win in this spot would strengthen that possibility — and likely erase any hope Kansas City has left.
But to do so, Los Angeles will have to overcome frigidly cold temperatures, an early kickoff and a short week. The Chiefs will see if one of the Midwest’s coldest weekends so far can be an advantage.
