According to STR, a hotel market research firm, the average hotel rate in New Orleans around Super Bowl LIX is about $650 per night. This is lower than last year’s average of $747 per night in Las Vegas but still ranks as the second-highest in the past decade. However, the closer you get to the stadium, the more expensive it gets.

Hotels in the Business District, where the Caesars Superdome is located, average $1,200 per night. If you’re looking for more affordable options, 2- and 3-star hotels range between $400 and $700 per night.
For comparison, the cheapest Super Bowl hotel average in the last ten years was $249 per night in Tampa for Super Bowl LV (2021), largely due to COVID-19 restrictions. In Los Angeles for Super Bowl LVI (2022), prices averaged $374 per night.
Local news outlet WDSU has been tracking hotel prices in the area. Their research shows that the average price for a room has already jumped to $1,031 per night, with the cheapest available room listed at $540 per night. Some of the last remaining rooms are going for $3,000 or more. Even budget hotels are cashing in—Motel 6 charges $625 per night.
