Sunday’s Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs begins at 3:00 PM ET as the Houston Texans take on the New England Patriots. The game will air on ESPN/ABC, with the action being called by Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.

It’s incredible to think back to how the Texans were 0-3 to begin the season, but now (including last week’s playoff win) have won 10 straight games. During that hot stretch, they earned the credit of being a serious low-key contender, but not at all because of their offense: it is their defense that has kept them at the top of their game.

Last week, that defensive stretch continued when they blew out the Steelers 30-6, including having two defensive touchdowns late. The Patriots, though, have been great on both sides of the ball all season, and also played with tenacious defense in a 16-3 win over the Chargers last week. Last week was one of the times when their offense struggled for once — and while usually, facing the Texans wouldn’t be a recipe for success, I think they can play smart, complimentary football to be able to put together a low scoring, but commanding, type of win. Patriots 23, Texans 13.
