Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts: Starting QB Returns to Practice
Battle Red Blog Battle Red Blog

The Houston Texans dominated the Buffalo Bills and quarterback Josh Allen on Thursday Night Football last week, and it’s safe to say the rest of the league has taken notice.

Houston’s defense played at an elite level, while the offense did just enough to close it out with backup quarterback Davis Mills leading the way. Mills delivered another strong performance and has now helped push the Texans back into playoff contention with three straight wins.

Now, another tough matchup awaits as the Texans travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts on Sunday afternoon. According to Pro Football Focus, Houston’s playoff chances jump to over 70% with a win — but fall to around 30% with a loss.

Here is a look at Wednesday’s injury report:

Did Not Participate

-CB Ajani Carter (Hamstring)

-LB Jamal Hill (Hamstring)

-OT Blake Fisher (Illness)

-DE Denico Autry (Knee)

Limited Participation

-DB Jalen Pitre (Concussion)

-OT Trent Brown (Hand)

Full Participation

-QB C.J. Stroud (Concussion)

Quarterback C.J. Stroud, along with defensive back Jalen Pitre, are trending towards returning against the Colts this weekend, and that is huge for a team that already has a ton of momentum right now.

If the Texans want to keep their playoff hopes alive, Stroud needs to come out firing, and get the job done against their division rivals, who happen to be one of the best teams in the league this season.
