The fine folks over at Fanduel are rolling out the odds for the 2025 NFL season. After Houston Texans head coach Demeco Ryans and general manager Nick Caserio did what they do in the off-season, the H-Town boys are set to win the AFC South.

Fanduel currently has the Texans at +110 to take the division crown.

If you’re silly and think the Jacksonville Jaguars (+290), Indianapolis Colts (+340) or Tennessee Titans (+700) are beating out the Texans this season, you may be in for a pitcher of disappointment.

The Texans took the field against the Minnesota Vikings on August 9th and backup quarterback Davis Mills marched the offense right down the field for a decisive touchdown. While Houston eventually lost the scoreboard in that matchup, it showed the new offense was viable.

The following week, they welcomed Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers to NRG Stadium. The Panthers left town with 3 points, an “L” and a lot to work on. C.J. Stroud hit Nico Collins for 6 and Nick Chubb showed his wheels still go round and round.

This past Saturday, the Detroit Lions welcomed the Texans for the first time in preseason history. And soon regretted it. While this one was all about roster spots and situational football, the 26-7 final score bears witness to the Texans winning those situations again and again.

Over the course of the preseason, the Titans went 2-1, the Colts 1-2 and the Jaguars got a tie, but no wins, landing at 0-2-1.

It’s pretty clear from what we’ve seen so far the Texans are once again the class of the AFC South.

If you’re feeling chippy, Fanduel currently has the Texans at 14th most likely to win the Super Bowl, with (+2500). The Jaguars are next in the AFC South at (+7000), the Colts (+8000) and the Titans at (+17,500). It’s good to note the Titans are 1 of only 5 teams over the (+15,000) mark.
