Horse Tracks: The Broncos still seem to be lacking their joker
Mile High Report Mile High Report

While much ado has been made of the search for jokers on this Broncos team, week 1’s game left us all wondering if the joke is on us. Evan Engram has been hailed as the solution to the Broncos’ offensive woes. I didn’t see the offense’s firepower uncorked when he was on the field, let alone targeted.

Also, the Broncos obviously have a high regard for Tyler Badie as a pass-catching back who can pass block. While he did get a lot of targets, his production left much to be desired.

While it may be possible that one or both of these players will be jokers by the end of the season, one has to wonder if they are, in fact, able to live up to the hype.
