Horse Tracks: Enjoying the drama-free feel of a Sean Payton-led Broncos organization

The Denver Broncos are building the right way and are thankfully free of drama heading into 2025

One of the less talked about traits that Sean Payton has brought to the Denver Broncos organization is that business decisions need to make sense.

Sure, Payton had to deal with an absolutely obtuse Russell Wilson contract situation when he joined the team. With that in the rearview mirror (and not a contract he was in any way responsible for), the team is trending in the right direction.

Today’s news has more of the offseason drama that Broncos Country has been used to in recent history, with our constant search for a franchise quarterback and questionable decisions regarding whether or not to extend key players.

Aaron Rodgers is still an actual option for the Steelers. Joey Bosa just signed a silly contract with the Bills and is injured. James Cook is likely holding out on the Bills for a new contract.

But here we are in Broncos Country, throwing back a cold one and looking forward to training camp with a smile on our faces.
