Good Morning Broncos Country!

Kay Adams who hosts the weekly morning show Up & Adams had some interesting things to say about the Broncos on her show yesterday. She believes that the Denver Broncos have the formula in place to do what the Eagles did to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

I agree that the Broncos have the formula in place to stop the Chiefs much like the Eagles did in the Super Bowl. Hell, the Broncos were a blocked field goal away from beating them at Arrowhead earlier in the year, so the proof is there.

They have Defensive Player of the Year in CB Pat Surtain, a defense that led the league in sacks and will have all their major pieces returning for next season. Add in potential growth from Nik Bonitto, Jonah Elliss, and other additions they could make this offseason, and the Broncos could cause the Chiefs some issues once again next season.

They will likely address weaknesses at linebacker and safety while likely making some additions to the defensive line this offseason. So, on paper at least, this defense should be improved come week one of next season.

The defense should be better and so should the Broncos offense. Bo Nix finished the 2024 season strong and should carry that success into the start of next season. He should be getting some additions at running back, tight end, and wide receiver this offseason which hopefully will take the offense to the next level.

Listen, the Chiefs will be the team to beat again next season. Travis Kelce potentially retiring, losing some free agents, and coming off an embarrassing loss won’t change that. They will retool, still have Patrick Mahomes (and the refs), and be the team to beat in the AFC once again. With that said, the gap between the two teams is closing (same with the Chargers) and could make for an interesting division title race next season.
