Scary footage of Morice Norris has surfaced online following the injury that left the Detroit Lions safety hospitalized on Friday.
Norris sustained a frightening injury to his head and neck after going in for a tackle during a preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, with his head snapping back at the point of contact. He was stretchered off the field and taken to a hospital.
The game was called off after a 20-minute delay early in the fourth quarter.
A clip of the player convulsing on the ground has been shared on X and can be seen right below:
Fortunately, Morice Norris’ injury wasn’t as bad as first feared. Shortly after he was taken to the hospital, he was reported to be in stable condition with movement in all extremities. The following morning, he took to Instagram to let fans know he was “all good” despite the concerning optics.
The safety spent the night at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta but has since been discharged and is recovering at home. His return will be contingent on further evaluation – for now, the Lions and their fans are just glad he’s okay.
