Holy Shit! The Cowboys Really Traded Micah Parsons

Holy Shit! The Cowboys Really Traded Micah Parsons

Incredible:

“Parsons and the Packers already have reached agreement on a four-year, $188 million contract. @DavidMulugheta of @Athletesfirst had a hand in the trade and ultimately negotiating the record-breaking contract that includes $120 million fully guaranteed at signing and makes Parsons the highest-paid non-QB in NFL history.”

That’s so funny. Jerry Jones hated the agent so much that he traded his best player instead of giving Parsons a contract extension. Now the Eagles don’t have to face him twice a year. He goes to Green Bay, who the Birds play in Lambeau on November 10th. That will be the next opportunity for Lane Johnson to flatten him into the Earth.

Nothing on compensation for Dallas reported yet (EDIT – Rap Sheet is saying two first rounders, and apparently Kenny Clark is going to Dallas in the trade as well, Pro Bowl DT coming off a bit of a down year by his standards).* That’s a good return for them, but it they have one foot in the win-now door and the other foot in a retool. It doesn’t totally sync up.

Parsons posted this farewell to the Big D. HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS! –
