There is never enough time to get to all the talented prospects that the team has shown interest in or that could help the team. Below is a last gasp to shout out a few players that could help the Commanders.

Running Back

Corey Kiner, Senior, Cincinnati

A dense RB at 5’9”, 210 lbs, Corey Kiner has stacked back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons for the Bearcats. He is a bit of a plodder, but he absorbs contact and falls forward to maximize runs. He’s a Day 3 pick or a UDFA that will compete to be the backend of the running back group, but he’ll have to show special teams value to land on a roster.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Redshirt Senior, Arizona

Jacory Croskey-Merrit only played one game for Arizona before the NCAA ruled him ineligible after transferring from New Mexico by way of Alabama State. He has really good burst, can make explosive cuts, and accelerate quickly. If he can’t get around the defender, he can deliver some punishment to secondary defenders. At 24 years old, he might be close to his ceiling, but he could be a good rotational RB in a gap scheme.

Ollie Gordon II, Junior, Oklahoma State

In 2023, Ollie Gordon II was arguably the best running back in the country. However, his production took a nosedive in 2024. He’s a big back with nimble feet and good acceleration through the hole, but his upright running style and lack of power as a 6’1”, 226 lbs back will likely have his name called on Day 3.

Wide Receiver

Da’Quan Felton, Senior, Virginia Tech

If you want the Commanders to draft a big wide receiver with speed, Felton might be your guy: 6’5”, 213 lbs, and a 4.5 40. That speed is mostly straightline as he struggles with change of direction. He’ll be more of a contested catch-maker than someone who separates consistently, but he is a developmental option to replace a receiver like Noah Brown down the line.

Offensive Line

Esa Pole, Senior, Washington State

Esa Pole is relatively new to football, but the offensive tackle has...
